News this week...
Well done to the team from Launton’s football squad who played at Chesterton in the quarter finals on Friday. Once again, they were excellent ambassadors for our school, praised for their conduct and tactics and after a tight first half went on to win 3-0. Excellent role models.
Next week is National School Sports Week. In addition to PE lessons, daily Launton Laps, Playground Leaders leading younger children in games and the children’s weekly Personal Best Challenge (currently star jumps in 1 minute), Mrs Heath and Mr Mawn (Physical Literacy co-ordinator) have planned a week of additional sporting activities.
The week begins with Orienteering on Monday and culminates with Sports Day on Friday. Children in Oak, Beech and Chestnut Class will be collecting points for their Forrest groups when they are competing on Friday, but all children need only wear their usual PE kit. Please send your child to school prepared for the sunny weather forecast, including with a hat clearly labelled with their name.
