Growing in learning, growing in character, growing community.

Please find resources for learning at home below:

Maths

Children are encouraged to continue practising their mathematical fluency on Numbots and TT Rockstars.

Fact Families:
Practise writing out your fact families. You can show this in a part whole model or bar model (or both!). Choose any number.

Practise writing out your times tables.

Think of a number... what do you know about this number? Write down some facts about it.

Handwriting

Practise your handwriting. Please practise letter and number formations, days of the weeks and more. (Pick any topic!). Please practise joining your letters and making sure you have tall and small letters in the accurate place (brave and scared monkey).
Miss Morton will upload handwriting sheets to this page.

Reading

It is important to continue reading when learning at home. Children should continue with their current Phonic and Shared Reader. When reading, encourage children to retell the story, predict what is going to happen next and develop opinions on the story. Writing book reviews and creating story maps will develop their reading comprehension.

Phonics/SPAG

Continue to practise the Year 1/2 Spellings. Can you think of a way to practise your spellings? Maybe a poster?

PE

Lets have some fun with GoNoodle. GoNoodle is a great resource to incorporate PE in the home learning environment. Children use this in the classroom daily. From a guided dance to enhanced focus movements, develop your balance and movement techniques.
