In the news this week...
The children in Key Stage Two have chosen to write about the things that they have found newsworthy this week…
Thank you to the children in Chestnut Class for making poppies available each morning for anyone who wishes to make a donation.
The poppies will be available until next Tuesday because next Tuesday in Remembrance Day when we stop at 11 o’clock on the eleventh day of the eleventh month to remember the people who died in WWI.
By Rafferty and Fleur.
On Wednesday, Year 4 went swimming at Bicester Leisure Centre. We first had to show the instructors how well we could already swim, so that the instructor knew what to teach us next. We when got into the pool, we had lots of safety information. We also had tips such as how to put on our swimming hats and goggles. Before we went swimming we were advised to choose a bright swimming hat so that we could be seen easily under water. You need to be speedy when you are getting out of the water and changing to come back to school. I felt like I am really happy to be in this school because we do everything we need to do to learn. Everyone is looking forward to swimming again next week. By Kiran, Clara, Leia and Ava in Year 4.
Running Club report by Darcey and Amy in Chestnut Class
Before the term started, we did sign ups and we had 38 people in Running Club. To be honest, we didn’t think we would have that many people. This term we are doing sign ups again on 7th November. Every time after a half term we will do sign ups to make sure you don’t miss out. We are very excited to see new faces and we hope people in the school will get fitter every week. We are also planning to start a monthly running club news called RCN. We will be doing races at the end of term to see how much progress you have made. These will start in December.
Updates & Reminders
Waddesdon Manor Christmas Project
As our children took part in Waddesdon Manor's Christmas Display project, Waddesdon have made avaliable a code for each child.
Each code gives you a free child grounds ticket, and half price grounds entry for 2 accompanying adults and 2 extra children (there are ticket options for both members and non-members). The code will not work when trying to book the house, as it is a grounds only offer.
If you would like your child's single use code, please email the school office.
